In Boardroom Blitz, players go head-to-head in a turn-based strategy game, taking turns on the device to conspire against each other. Upon starting a new game, players will decide who goes first, and begin by performing the resource collection mechanic simply clicking on buildings of your colour (blue) collects these resources. Green dollars are more money to spend on activities, and pink question marks are playing cards to give yourself additional bonuses and effects. Once all resources are collected, click on next turn to change players. Resources for each player are displayed on the top of the screen, alternating sides depending on the turn.

Camera controls: WASD moves the camera left, right, up and down. Moving the mouse to the edges of the screen moves the camera in that direction Holding right click drags the map along at a faster pace.

The game can be paused at any time using the "X" icon in the top right of the screen, and can be used to exit to the main menu.

Playing-cards are collated at the bottom of the players screen, showing all available cards (up to a hand limit of 5). Hovering over them reveals the entire card, and clicking presents it front and center for more details, with a purple description box explaining exactly what it does.To play a card, simply click the button displayed when the card is centered on the screen, it will play immediately.

Eventually, the "Activities" menu will open up and allow players to start launching them against one another, these weapons cost a certain amount of various resources and will have a chance of failing, but can prove disastrous for the other player if they succeed. The more resources you have, the more of these will unlock, getting riskier and deadlier the further down the activity tree. Ranging from the mechanic of purchasing neutral (white) buildings, to assassinating an enemy CEO and plunging the other player into chaos.

Entering the "Intel" menu shows more details on the "Intrigue" resource, which rewards you in turn with information about the opposition. Certain levels of intrigue are also needed for certain actions, alongside agent cards.

In case players would like to see a record of all their actions, the "Events Log" records the entire history of resource and activity changes throughout the entire game, for your eyes only. This event log can be closed with the "x" in its corner when finished.
